What are the advantages of a Private Residence Club?
Membership
in a Private Residence Club allows efficient use of the Members’ funds
by more closely matching usage needs with the actual expense of a
second home. At the same time, the time-robbing tasks of maintaining a
second home are passed along to the Club’s staff, who provide a level
of service not traditionally associated with the ownership of real estate.
Is Membership in The Charleston Club the same as timeshare?
No. Timeshare is offered as an alternative to renting
a vacation residence while a Private Residence Club is an alternative
to owning a second or third home. Other contrasts can be found in the
quality and size of the accommodations, the minimum and maximum lengths
of stay and most notably the level of personal service provided.
How is Membership in The Charleston Club conveyed?
Membership is evidenced by a deed to real estate which carries with it
all the rights and privileges of traditional home ownership.
How often may Members enjoy use of The Charleston Club?
As often as their creativity and schedule permit; there is no limit on
how many times a Member may visit The Club.
How does a Member make arrangements to visit The Club?
Through
the Member’s-only portal of The Club’s website or
by contacting the Club Concierge, a Member may reserve a Residence
as far out as 16 months in the future or right up until the day of
arrival.
May Members reserve more than one Residence for the same visit?
Yes, based on availability, there is no limit on the number of Residences
a Member may use.
Will Members have access to other Private Residence Clubs?
Yes,
through The Charleston Club’s affiliation with The Registry
Collection, Members will enjoy an array of locations and experiences
worldwide.
Do Members pay Club dues?
Yes, annual dues pay
for the management and operation of the Club’s
Residences and common areas. Annual dues also include staff salaries,
supplies, maintenance, legal and accounting, insurance, utilities, taxes
and replacement & refurbishing of Club facilities and furnishings.
What do Members pay when visiting The Charleston Club?
The only costs incurred by a Member while enjoying The Club
are for the consumables they request, such as groceries, tickets for events,
spa treatments and so forth.
Do Members always stay in the same Residence?
No,
the reservation system allows for the use
of any of the Residences at The Club.
What level of service should a Member expect while in residence
and when not in residence?
The priority of the Concierge
Team is to know each Member, know how he/she wants to use their Membership
and to be proactive in assisting while they are in residence and back
at home. While in Residence, the Concierge Team
will assistant in making plans in tandem with their
interests. When the Member is back home, the Concierge will contact
them to come and enjoy events that coincide with
the Members’ personal
interests.
How do I enroll?
This is done by contacting
The Club and speaking with a Membership Executive who will ensure that
you are a candidate.
Can a Membership in The Charleston Club be resold?
Yes, like any other form of real estate, a Member’s
deeded interest can be sold or transferred subject to Club
policies. The Club also has an internal resignation program.
